 I don't really have the skill to critique, so I'll just comment.
I liked the color version, and this one is nicely balanced, to my eye. Both in light/dark and in arrangement. There is so much one can interpret in it. I like the little bird on the far right. Sort of like a subplot character in the mental story the goes through my head when I look at it for a while. ^_^ -- FM .... No static at all... Wow, thanks heaps for the great comment
